Our policy has always been and remains that we can infill work IF it is of similar quality of our own.
The number of poor quality infills booked recently make it clear it can be hard for clients to know what to look for when making this decision.
Here are some key things that would indicate poor quality and the need for a removal and new set:
- Itchiness and irritation along the lash line
- Not easy to brush through - brushing is to PREVENT tangling, not to fix it.
- Lash extensions twisting around and not facing in the same direction.
- Lashes feel thick or clumpy
- You can feel extensions poking or pulling your skin when you brush them
- Lashes have fallen out prematurely - there should be at least 50% remaining when you book an infill
To avoid the potential disappointment of booking incorrectly and there not being time spare to amend, please adhere to the following:
- Please email lauren@proudbeauty.co.nz if you need help working out whether to book an infill, a new set or a removal and new set. Give as much information as possible - Clear photos of your lashes (ask someone to help you on a rear phone camera), where the previous set was done and links to their social media or website.
- If you are certain the quality is high and you know the curl types and lengths used previously, you can book an infill (up to 3 weeks if 50%+ remaining).
- If you are certain the quality is high but you don't know what curls or lengths are used, please book an infill not exceeding 2 weeks, or a new set without a removal. I will need the extra time to assess what you have so that I can match it properly.
